Life Cycle Set – Scorpion

Scorpions are medium-sized arthropods with eight legs. Their long, segmented tail contains a venom gland as well as a stinger. They are predatory arthropods & can sense their prey through touch or sound. An adult scorpion measures approximately 5 centimetres in length, while larger species can reach 18 centimetres.
A scorpion’s life cycle includes many molts. It can take three to five years to reach full maturity. While scorpions live for between two & five years, some species live as long as six years. The species they live in & their environment will determine how long they live. However, scorpions are not able to survive in a stagnant environment as they are susceptible to predators.
